Quim LorenteQUIM started working in the film industry when he was 16 as a PA and gradually worked his way up to become a director. With more than 20 years of experience, he has worked with famous brands like Audi, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Telefonica, Renault, Chrysler, Mobil, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Bimbo, Canal Plus, Allianz etc and made nearly 300 commercials.
Quim has bagged several awards in various ad fests in Spain and USA and was shortlisted for Cannes in the past.
He is a curious creature and always in the pursuit of knowledge. His interests and passions include: the human mind, relationships and emotions, what drives people, non-verbal language, relearning, neurolinguistics, coaching, NLP and seeing his kids grow. And Barça! He has been going to the same seat in the stadium for 26 years in a row!
Jimmy OlssonJIMMY was born in the south of Sweden in 1980 and moved to Stockholm in 2004 to study film school. He started to work with film in 2002. He writes comedy or pretty dark drama, with a little bit of comedy twist in it.
He is inspired by well written dialogue and performances from actors who deliver very realistically.
His two short films that tour around the world festivals won a few awards.
Jimmy would like to work with projects that are smart and funny and visual, he really enjoys storytelling and likes small stories and epic ones. He prefers some sort of dialouge or perhaps voice over and let the shots tell the rest.
Danila DANILA was born in the USSR, in 1996 his family moved to Budapest,Hungary where he finished his studies at Etvs Lornt Science University faculty of Russian Language and Literature and Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design faculty of film and media design. Now he is living and working in Barcelona. Danila previously studied and worked as a 2D compositor (Fusion, Shake, Nuke) which makes him experienced and comfortable in complicated post production work flows (animation, VFX/cgi and mixed technique films). Combining styles and techniques are his favorite playground in filmmaking. Funny surrealism, ironic intellectuality and beautiful melancholy are standing close to Danila's world.
RojoROJO are a creative filmmaking team based in Paris. They are comprised of Frenchman François Roland and American Josef Baar. The two began collaborating in the mid 90's, when they both worked in the On-Air Design and Promo department of National French Television Network FRANCE 2. In the several years spent at the network, they created hundreds of motion graphics spots and developed a strong grasp of post-production techniques, which would later become one of their trademarks.
Uros TrefaltUROS TREFALT is a true in camera tricks magician. His academic background is theatre. He studied in Prague, New York, France and in Slovenia. Uros is fascinated by short grotesque theatre and film formats. He worked as a director in the leading broadcasting company in Czech Republic TV Nova for more than seven years. His work includes promo campaigns, idents, and music videos. Uros’s ability to work with different forms and perceptions results in various projects and activities, including publishing of theoretic books on drama and puppet directing in Slovenia and Spain as well as numerous victories of Promax Awards.
RazyRAZY has been a prolific director in the advertising industry for over 5 years now. He also carries the prestigious experience of directing at MTV for 7 years. Having worked with top-notch brands, he is a visual magician with more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Having been part of the team that got VH1 to India shows his vision; his films talk clearly about his incredible artistic repertoire and aesthetic inclinations. A connoisseur of ‘Blues’, he derives his inspiration from soulful artists and past masters. Catch him on a good day and the man himself will tell you a lot about excellent single malt, giving one an idea of his ‘refined’ taste.
Ari EvasioARI studied film making and photography at the Cievyc the SICA in Buenos Aires, as well as Acting Direction and Art Direction in the United States.
He won the Converse All Star contents Best Director award before graduating. He started directing Music Videos, receiving Rolling Stone Magazine’s Best video of the year within the first year of his career. He directed different music videos of both national and international artists such as Kudai, Duran Duran, and CDC among others being granted this year's Best Video of the Year.
In 2006 he became involved with the advertising world, working with first-rate agencies for clients such as Volkswagen, Coke, Budweiser,Telefonica, Gatorade, Converse All star, Unilever (Axe, Suave, Sedal), Phillips, Kimberly clark, Scjhonnson, Itau Bank, etc.
A versatile Director, he has managed to shoot all kinds of commercials along his career.
Passionate about movies, advertising and art in all its different forms, he is a constant trends investigator. He truly believes that working the script in the style needed to make it unique is deeply rewarding.
Chino MoyaSelf- taught filmmaker CHINO started his career in his native Spain before moving to London where he has been based for the last seven years. Besides his advertising projects, he also directs music videos and has completed a feature length documentary shot in Israel. His cinematic and visual style has a very distinctive look, characterised by its strong art direction, unusual casting and atmospheric cinematography. He has been awarded at the One Show and nominated at Cannes Lions and as Best New Director in the UK Music Video Awards.
Michael LawrenceMichael Lawrence was born in Buffalo, NY on a snowy night in 1988.
He now lives in Brooklyn, directs films, and photographs around
the world. Michael also lectures at workshops and is a visiting
instructor at the Miami Ad School.
Greg BrayAs a creative person in various advertising agencies, photographer GREG Bray was the director of illustrative advertising. Directing seemed only logical. He provokes little stories and simple storytelling. His films will always be honest and stay with the product. Straight to the point communications and clear messages. During his career, Greg has worked for clients such as Burger King, Vodafone, Emirates airlines, Volkswagen, and Sony. He now lives with his wife and two children in Berlin.
Denis ParchowDenis Parchow's love of commercial making stems from the fact that, as a child, his parents (both teachers) banned him from ever watching them - but that early censorship planted a certain seed in him.
After a short stint as a Lumberjack…..don't ask….he enrolled at the Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg to study commercial directing.
Having won high acclaim for his spot Sven the Terrible, a comedic take on film piracy where a Viking is reduced to searching for a new job with unsuccessful results, he went on to direct the award winning commercial "Don't be afraid of the dark" for Steiff. A young boy’s nightmare encounter with a monster in the forest becomes more intense when it breaks through his bedroom window. The last line of defence is the boy’s teddy bear.
A flair for the visual with a comedic edge Denis's films have a beautiful way of telling us a story.
Runar Ingi - AgentZooRúnar Ingi is a Reykjavik native, his career in the industry began at the age of 18 in the role of PA, ascending up the ranks to line producer and assistant director working on both domestic and international projects. Simultaneously, he also directed music videos using short ends from commercial productions. He was able to grade at The Mill in London, an experience that he cites as a big inspiration – working with world class colourists brought him closer to the craft. Rúnar also directed two award winning short films, collecting an EDDA (Icelandic Film Awards) for Best Short Film from a Young Director, and then going on to direct a documentary featuring young people from Iceland and Uganda. His main goal has always been to direct commercials, and that aspiration was fully realised when he directed his first commercial for VR ‘Let’s Lift The Spell PSA’, from which an IAA (Icelandic Advertising Awards) nomination swiftly followed. Since then Rúnar has gone on to direct well received spots for Nike & Össur (featured in Shots 135), Ikea, 66°North, Unicef and more, his enthusiasm for character driven scripts that feature a human element emerging as a central theme. His latest commercial for Prince Polo shows another side to his work, one that features a captivatingly layered and quirky eye for visual detail - Shots agreed making him a Contender for December 2012.
Janek RuzickaJANEK studied at Prague's prestigious film school FAMU. His passion is music, theater and writing. Along with his skills of english and czech writing he has released poems and blog for newspapers, directed dozen documentary films as well as music videos.
Stephan StrubeStephan was born by a Swedish mother and a German father in a stormy night on a small cockleshell in the middle of the Baltic Sea, Germany. After school, apprenticeship and all that growing-up stuff he worked as a media design freelancer and as an in-house agency editor for TBWA Hamburg. In order to tell his own stories, he decided to study commercial directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. There he shot several spec commercials, comedy shorts, some of them award winning. After receiving his diploma in spring 2013 he moved to Berlin and is ready to continue what he loves most: telling fun and creative commercials.
